I had begun a series of illustrated portraits called "Of Empresses and Queens" a few years ago. The series included leaders such as Queen Isabella of Spain, Empress Wu Zetian of China and the ever notorious Marie Antoinette. Here is one of my favorite blogs... I learned about Wallis Simpson through it before Madonna & Hollywood ever got a hold of her.
